A few photos from our Big Bus Tour. Unfortunately, the audio wasn't working so I'm not even sure what many of these things are! Oh well, cool photos in any case.
This is the oldest or largest (or maybe both?) mosque in Morocco. We had planned to stop and have a look inside, but ran out of time.
Mountains! Haven't seen those in a while.
Random interesting building.
This is the train station we arrived from. A beautiful building and relatively new.
Opera house
One of the fancy hotels - Le Meridian, I think. We stopped off and had a drink and wandered around the place.
Marrakech is a city of contrasts. You have the smelly, dirty, old market area with beautiful traditional Riads tucked away inside it. On the other end of town, you have 4 and 5 star hotel complexes and a new train station. And if you didn't have a chance to see both sides of the city, you could leave with very different impressions.
Part of the wall surrounding one of the palace areas.
A great view from the top of the bus of one of the bustling streets. This one was a bit cleaner and wider - a very popular tourist area. When you get into the older market areas, the streets are much narrower, darker and more crowded.
